The Microsoft Gamescom 2025 plans promise one of Xbox’s biggest showings to date, with over 20 playable titles, major hardware demos, and live broadcasts. The global gaming community will turn its eyes to Cologne, Germany from August 20 to 24, where Microsoft aims to captivate fans across PC, console, and cloud.

Xbox Booth: Games, Hardware, and Experiences

Set up in Hall 7, the Xbox booth will feature more than 120 gaming stations showcasing a mix of first-party titles, third-party games, and hardware experiences. Attendees can try hands-on demos for titles like:

  • Hollow Knight: Silksong
  • Grounded 2
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
  • NINJA GAIDEN 4
  • Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
  • Roblox
  • Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4

Hardware reveals include the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X, co-developed with ASUS to highlight Xbox’s Play Anywhere capabilities.

Big Third-Party Games On Display

Microsoft is bringing in third-party powerhouses to join the stage. Fans can expect playable demos for:

  • Borderlands 4 (Gearbox)
  • Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Final Fantasy XVI (Square Enix)
  • Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater (Konami)
  • EA Sports FC 26 (EA)

World Premieres: WoW & Black Ops 7

Blizzard is hosting a World of Warcraft “Midnight” expansion showcase in Hall 8, where fans will try the long-awaited Housing system. The booth includes cosplay showcases, esports tournaments, and developer panels.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 will debut during Opening Night Live on August 19, promising cinematic surprises, deep lore reveals, and developer insights.

Live Xbox Broadcasts for Global Audiences

Can’t make it to Germany? Microsoft is running two major livestreams from the showfloor:

  • August 20: Featuring Grounded 2, ROG Xbox Ally, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
  • August 21: Showcasing NINJA GAIDEN 4, Overwatch 2, and The Outer Worlds 2

These will be available in multiple languages, including German, French, Japanese, Spanish, and Portuguese, with support for ASL and English audio descriptions.

Bethesda will host its own three-day stream series on Twitch starting August 22, offering behind-the-scenes developer content, gameplay walkthroughs, and community Q&As.

FanFest Turns 10 + Xbox Digital Passport Quest

To mark a decade of Xbox FanFest, Microsoft is launching celebratory events in Cologne, including exclusive community activities and giveaways.

Fans at Gamescom can also join the Xbox Digital Passport Quest, earning prizes by exploring different booth sections. Sponsors include Meta, LG, Amazon, NVIDIA, and more.

Gaming for Everyone: Accessibility First

Microsoft continues its “Gaming for Everyone” mission by designing accessible booth features for Gamescom. Wheelchair access, Xbox Adaptive Controllers, adjustable demo stations, and trained assistants will be available to help players of all abilities enjoy the full experience.
