The Fall 2025 Movies season ushers in both awards contenders and crowd-pleasing blockbusters. From spooky horror tales to sweeping dramas, this year’s slate blends star power with compelling storytelling. Key September Releases

The season begins September 5 with Orlando Bloom in The Cut, a boxing drama aimed at award voters. The same day sees the release of The Conjuring: Last Rites, the finale of the long-running horror franchise starring Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson. Dylan O’Brien headlines Twinless, a modern fable about loss and connection.

September 12 brings major sequels: Spinal Tap II: The End Continues revisits comedy legend, while The Long Walk, based on Stephen King’s novella, offers a chilling endurance tale. That date also sees Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, closing the curtain on the beloved saga.

On September 19, several buzzworthy films arrive, including Him, co-produced by Jordan Peele, History of Sound starring Paul Mescal and Josh O’Connor, and A Big Bold Beautiful Journey with Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie. Later that month, Julia Roberts and Andrew Garfield star in After the Hunt, a polarizing drama, while Keanu Reeves headlines Good Fortune.

Music and history shine in Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere (Oct 24), while gamers can rejoice with Mortal Kombat II. Richard Linklater directs Blue Moon, Rose Byrne stuns in If I Had Legs I’d Kick You, and Yorgos Lanthimos returns with Bugonia, reuniting with Emma Stone.
